My son (with my financial backing) hired Mr. Hanna to defend him for a DUI/DWI. This was all new to both of us, since neither had a criminal record and weren’t sure what to expect and how the process worked. During the initial consultation with Mr. Hanna, he told us if you plead guilty to the DUI/DWI, the cost would be $750 and if you want to fight it and use a jury trial, the fee would be $2500. He assured us that he would not take a jury case, unless he knew he could win it. With his projected confidence that he could win with a jury trial, my son retained Mr. Hanna for $2500. After retaining MR. HANNA, my son (accompanied by me) showed up for his first court hearing and we were met by Mr. Hanna’s associate (Mr. Ruud), whom neither of us had met previously or were told that my son would be represented by anyone other than Mr. Hanna.
