A disappointing headache would be an understatement! We had an estimator, an estimate, and about 4-5 calls to try to schedule work. The work did finally happen two weeks later, but their guy didn’t do all of the work on the order. Another 3 weeks later, again multiple calls to schedule way too far into the future, and more calls to confirm the work and the appointment, another call to reconfirm… only to have another guy come out to say he didn’t know what he was supposed to do, only came to figure out what was supposed to be done, and wasn’t prepared to the work. We feel we wasted a lot of time on the phone and in terms of missed work, got very frustrated in the process, and delayed our project by weeks. It’s not like their bid was so competitive. It just happened to be that we wanted to AVOID frustration by having one company do all the chimney work. The work they did do was adequate, but I’m convinced we made a mistake contracting with Dr. Sweep. Based on reviews, there are definitely much better companies that have their act together that could do the job for the same amount of money with less headache. Ultimately, I ended up feeling like I should have been paid to have them “practice” on our house because a professional business they most definitely are not.
