I really valued Mr. Karakas' honesty. He could have told me anything and I would have believed him because I can't get up there on the roof. He went up on my roof and walked all over it. I was told before that I had some broken tiles. He told me I didn't have any broken tiles, but that I did have one thing that slips down over the pipes--a seal--and that one of those was split and the others were getting dried out. I had him replace all of them. The whole charge was only $60.
I have already recommended him. He is a roofer and not a general contractor. When it comes to checking the trusses, he has a lot of knowledge and can give you his opinion, but he won't go up in the attic. He just knows the effects of a rotten or broken truss. He can tell from how solid the roof is and how the ends of the trusses look where they stick out from the wall of the house. He's very knowledgeable, but he won't go beyond what he's licensed to do, which is roofing.
