Review content:
I have had two rough experiences with this clinic. The first time, I was very uncomfortable having a male doctor and asked to see a midwife only. She was wonderful except for the fact she did not respect my wishes for a natural birth. She suggested an induction before I was even at my due date, and then didn't show up to the hospital until the last minute. I was then having to compromise my beliefs in female only attendance and stuck with the younger male doctor who unfeelingly said he was going to break my water and then place me in the bed, on my back to labor and then put on pitocin. My reason exact for not wanting a male cause I did not believe they could relate to the pain I would have let alone how much more it would be with the pitocin. My natural birth flew out the window with scare tactics and unexplained consequences for the procedures they TOLD me I was going to have. In the midwife's defense, she did end up showing up with enough time to catch the baby. I won't even go into the "inappropriate" conversation with Dr. Edwards himself which solidified my belief to never have a male attendant for my birth. EVER.
The second experience, I was actually sent a note to terminate my care in the last trimester of my pregnancy because my birth plan seemed unreasonable. (I didn't want the HepLock due to the pain and my veins being very small). No one discussed it with me. I didn't find out until the next appointment when the nurse at the desk told me I could not be seen for a scheduled appointment. I then was humiliated and scared into begging them to take me back. Later, I scooped up my dignity and transferred to the clinical care in Wilmington.
I wouldn't recommend a half dead horse be sent out to this pasture.
