My wife and I attended SCC East until we were told I was not welcome because I am transgendered. SCC knew about me since Oct 28, 2007 when they gave a sermon on how they may lose members but they were opening their doors to the homosexual community. Things went fine until February 2009 when my wife and I asked if I could participate in women's bible study. The answer was more than just no, it was a total condemnation with discussion of child molesters and constant homophobic talk even when I told them I'm not homosexual. Each time I brought up the October 28, 2007 sermon I got absolutely no response. That is how they deal with hypocrisy, they act as if nothing was said. At SCC you are expected to accept what is preached and not to question anything. If you like a good fundamentalist church and want your kids taught to hate various groups, SCC is probably the place for you. I don't expect everyone to like my circumstances, but I was attending SCC to further my relationship with
