This office billed me full price despite the fact that my husband and I have full coverage on our insurance. They would not allow me to leave the office without paying a ridiculously high co-pay for basic services that were completely covered by our insurance. When I approached my insurance company, the insurance company informed me that they had also been billed, as the office tried to double my patient revenue. Had the office simply admitted an error, I would have had no problem as people make mistakes. However, they steadfastly refused to admit their error. Finally, after a month of our insurance company badgering them, they issued our refund. However, they would not release my dental records without my mailing them an official request so they could mail them back to me. I understand HIPAA regulations but why they could not simply give them to me in person so that I could take my business elsewhere is beyond me.
