My husband and I would like to thank the staff of the ''Electra'' for all your help to make our daughter's wedding a truly wonderful occasion. As you can imagine, planning such a special day from 3000 miles away comes with its own set of problems on top of the normal headaches and joys. Because of your experience and first-hand knowledge of the venders, you made the process much easier and far less stressful than it could have been.\r
Though I have forgotten the names of the deejay and the photographer, I haven't forgotten what a wonderful job they did under some ''trying'' circumstances. The deejay was basically on her own to choose the music, and she made excellent choices. After processing the film, we were delighted with the poses as well as the candids taken by the photographer. Her full length picture of Joanna with the harbor scenery in the background is breath-taking and has been enlarged to be framed for our dining room wall. Plus she had such a delightful personality and was so much fun that quite a few guests took pictures of her! The cake from Cinderella Bakery looked exactly like the bride and groom wanted and tasted good too. Our florist, Elegant by Design, did a beautiful job. The designers were so easy to work with and were the reason I heard so many compliments on the decorations. Simple, but elegant.\r
I would like to express even deeper appreciation to the staff on board the ''Electra"" The servers and bartenders were efficient and polite. The food was delicious, just as you promised. But Maria was the star of the evening (next to the bride, that is). She handled a very nervous bride, a dirty wedding gown, and a host of other problems with what appeared to be calmness and ease. She saw that everyone was at the right place at the right time, that our guests were kept comfortable, and that in all the excitement, we parents were fed dinner. Sometimes we were in a daze and she just had to take us by the hand. Maria made it possible for us to have a good time, something that I understand is not always possible at the wedding of your children.\r
Being able to enjoy our daughter's wedding sums up what I really want to thank you for. Everyone working together really helped to make the event one that the bride and groom will remember with joy for the rest of their lives. Seeing Joanna and Frank so happy and seeing their friends and family celebrating with them is what it was all about. And on top of it all, the sun came out just in time to shine down on everyone.Perhaps I should give credit to that sweet Rev. Pieper for that.\r
