Everyone gets diagnosed with a disability (sometimes called illness or aging disorder) at one time or another.
Independent Living Resources is there to help you get a job, find access to housing, and live in your own home. They have a batillion of peer counselors..people with disabilities who have found solutions for integrated living...to help you problem solve and find answers and access.
This agency should be the first one every doctor, every hospital, every social worker refers their clients to when someone is newly diagnosed with a disorder or diability....they don't teach how to cope..they teach how to move forward.
