I must confess, it's always a disconcerting to read less than great reviews about any place I am considering going to. I searched water parks and after reading about another park that seemed to be gang oriented, I figured I'd try my luck here. I wasn't thrilled about the ""bacteria"" reviews I read but thought this could be only one persons reaction and that the park must keep a pretty good eye on this sort of thing. I think I made the right choice. Nobody can teach the Houston / Galveston anything when it comes to heat and humidity. With that being a way of life spending a day at Schlitterbahn's could be looked at as more of a reprieve than anything else. With so many really fun things there it is funny that the thing I like the best is the spray mist. I can stand under it all day just letting the water rain down over me. It seems to be the perfect combo of cool water and heat balancing each other out. I spent the day there with friends and none of us got sick so I guess any problems they might have had were taken care of.
