NBC (North Bay Construction) repaved the road in front of my business during the peak of my summer tourist season on Hwy. 1 last July, without warning, and now refuse to compensate for their damages to my business. They parked large trucks blocking my parking and pushed the traffic flow past my business without giving the option to stop.\r
They were sub-contracted by Cal-Trans who stated that NBC was solely responsible for my major loss of business. This large corporation is turning its cheek for my small claim for loss of wages during the most critical time of the year. \r
Harry Mills said I should have shown up at the hearing for the construction yet I was not informed at all to begin with. Everyone on the NBC workforce those 2 weeks was paid their full wage (to my knowledge) and I assume massive profits were made. Yet I lose half of my business and receive no compensation?, you guys have to learn to share and make things fair for the very people (me, taxpayer,voice of the community) who support your business. \r
2 Thumbs down for NBC, just another large company rolling in the greed and profits at the expense of others, and pretending like it was'nt their fault when Cal Trans said it was clearly. I am in the public eye all day and talk to thousands and thousands of people by the way, wish I could say good things about our own local North Bay Construction.\r
