Review content:
Due to the close proximity of the resturaunt to our church, we decided to book our rehersal dinner at Georgine's. I do not like to wait until the last minute to attend to such important matters, so I made the reservation two months in advance. When my fiance called several days before the event was scheduled to finalize the plans, they lost our reservation. When he rescheduled, they informed him that we could do a buffet dinner with a private room. The day before the event, they called us back to ask what meals our guests would like to eat. They also said that we would be within the actual restaurant and not in a private room. We were not initially informed of this; however, with such a late notice, we unfortunately proceeded with the plans. Several of our guests ordered the prime rib dinners. One person asked for well done, which came out burnt and hard as a rock, while two others ordered medium well. The medium well dinners were bleeding on the plate, causing my one guest to ask for a different meal. The owner refused. When I spoke with her at the hostess station, she claimed that she asked him what else he wanted to eat, and he said nothing. (This was a complete lie on her part! I was sitting directly behind him. When he asked for something else, she refused infront of all 20 attendants and stated that he needed to eat it.) She actually had the audacity to accuse him of lying. She continued to state that she was ""bending over backward for us"" since we only made the reservation the previous day and told me that I was ""screaming"" at her. During the entire conversation, not once had I even raised my voice at her despite the complete unprofessional manner in which she addressed me. She then continued the sutuation by allowing one of her waitresses who was not waiting on us, to say that she saw the stake that was sent back and it was not bleeding. At this point I had to walk away. While outside a stranger at a different table in the restaurant approached us and said that she could not believe what had occured. She overheard the entire situation from her table and was astounded at what the owner was saying to me as she passed by the hostess station to go the bathroom. She stated that she has been managing a restaurant of her own for over 20 years, and she would never have handled the situation the way the owner of Georgine's did. This is one place that we will never return to. I will drive further for a peacful evening than one of a short drive filled with harrasment and belittlement by an unprofessional owner.
