Review content:
We saw lots of ads on television regarding Cornerstone Church and thought it would be a great place to go as a family. We went in and proceeded to go to the sanctuary, my husband, 3 children and I, only to be stopped just as we were about to go in. We were told that infants were not allowed in the sanctuary and that I would have to take my baby to the nursery, and send my 9 year old to Sunday School, off some long corridor going in the opposite direction and up a flight of stairs. I replied that this was our first visit and we just all wanted to sit together as a family. I expressed my discomfort very plainly with splittling the family up. The lady would not hear of it and insisted that I take my baby to the nursery, and was never clear on why infants were not allowed in the sanctuary. She said I was welcome to go to the nursery with him and watch what was going on through the TV. This would have put my husband and 12 year old in the sanctuary, my 9 year old off somewhere else and the baby and I in the nursery. What kind of church visit would that have been? I believe a family should be allowed to sit together when they visit a church, not all whisked away in different directions if they do not want to be. Maybe they thought the baby would disrupt the service? If the baby had started fussing or crying, I would have taken him out into the hallway until he calmed down of course. Dont most mothers do that?\r
Needless to say, we left, and have not been back and will never go back. We now enjoy a church where we can all sit together, OR let our children go to Sunday School if they so desire. As for our little one, he happily sits on our laps throughout the church service, WITH his Mommy and Daddy.
Pros: Lots of activities for children, good preaching.
Cons: Overwhelmingly huge, families arent allowed to sit together.
