Review content:
Our company has had it's get togethers at Genji for several years now. And granted, the first time was amusing and the chef was very personable. This time, the chef was ok, waitress was ok but there were several things that will make me think twice about going back there. It's extremely noisy, we had to yell to be heard by the person next to us. The soup and salad courses, while tasty, came so quickly there was no time to savor either. After the main course was served, I got the feeling of being rushed. The waitress was bringing boxes before we were even halfway through our dinner. Then the biggest problem....approximately 70% of our group had stomach and or intestinal distress that night and the next day. So obviously there was some problem with something in the food, whether it was the sauce or the preservative on the lettuce or whatever. That is completely unacceptable. If only 1 person had a little distress, I wouldn't attribute it to the food, but since about 70% displayed varying degrees of nausea and other issues, I think that they need to be checked out by the health department to make sure that the refrigeration is sufficient and that shelf life is checked regularly. Needless to say, until such issues are addressed, we won't be having any more corporate meetings at Genji!
