As a birthday gift I made an appointment for a family member and myself for 2 massages at noon on Saturday. That morning before the massages we went to the gym for a good workout before we headed off for our day of relaxation. When we arrived at the Spa we were told that an attempt was made to contact us that morning because one of the massage therapists had called in sick and only one massage therapist was available. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, (except for our disappointment). However, the clerk seemed upset with us for not retrieving the message before we arrived (as I mentioned earlier we were at the gym and didn't get the message). Additionally her tone of voice became rude, inflammatory and unapologetic TOWARD US for declining her offer that one of us SHOULD get the massage anyway since one massage therapist was available. We arrived with high expectations, and didn't get upset that our appointment had been canceled. But when the tone became unprofessional, our disappointment was accompanied with bewilderment at the ill-treatment the we received from the personnel at the front desk. We didn't become combative with her and we were left speechless. We then walked out of the the facility as graciously as we could but, this establishment left us with a bad taste and we will be sure to not to recommend them to anyone due to my experience.
