Review content:
Budo Kai is an amazing goju-ryu style karate dojo for kids, teens and adults, men and women. If you're looking for a school where you or your kids can learn REAL self defense, get in shape, and build confidence, this place is for you.\r \r At Budo Kai, students are always supportive of one another, and the atmosphere is friendly and respectful. The head instructor (who leads all of the classes) is demanding but supportive, and always pushes each student to the best of his or her ability. He's also great with kids, and all of the offered classes (junior, teen & adult) are fun and challenging.\r \r Classes are run with students in mind, and are always catered to their individual needs. So, if a group of students shows up that needs to work on a particular technique, the instructor will make that the theme of class for the day. Classes are never the same each day, and can feature anything from forms, application, and free sparring to traditional weapons, strength training and conditioning, boxing and aiki-jujitsu-inspired techniques, and even competitive games to energize the class.\r \r Budo Kai isn't the kind of school where you can get a black belt in a year, or are promoted faster just because you've paid an extra fee. Students here pride themselves on knowing that they've really worked for their ranks, and that they are learning real, traditional martial arts.\r \r One monthly fee entitles students to unlimited classes within their programs, and there are no contracts, so if you go to the shore for 4 weeks, you don't have to pay for that month! Plus, Budo Kai offers a discount if 2 or more family members join together, and a uniform is included if you join for a month.\r \r Joining Budo Kai has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love everything about it, and have never looked back since joining! So, if you're looking for a great dojo, I hope you'll give it a try. I hope to see you there! Pros: Atmosphere, Instruction, Cleanliness, Parking Cons: Classes may not fit everyone's schedule
