My wife and I put our deposit down for our simple discount vacation. The people that I have been dealing with have not hidden anything I have heard about all the upgrades and I politely declined we can't afford the ""extras"" we know that. All in all you get what you pay for, its a good opportunity to stay somewhere a little nicer for a good price. If you really think you ""won"" a contest and someone is giving you plane tickets,food, and first class lodging you kind of deserve loosing your well reminded non refundable deposit. Like I said I have not gone yet but I am not expecting any surprises
