I had an issue where my plasma tv lost picture completely, yet I still had sound. I called the manufacturer as the tv was only 6 months old. The manufacturer directed me to Color and Sound to schedule an appointment. I did so for several days later between 9am and 12pm.\r \r At 1pm on the day of the appointment, my wife called me at work stating that they had not arrived. I called Color and Sound and they stated that they were unable to find my home on Mapquest and therefore, did not come. I had some choice words for them, but non-the-less, I rescheduled for several days later. \r \r My wife called me on the appointment day stating the repair folks came and looked at it for 5 minutes stating ""it could be one of a dozen things, we need to take it back to the shop."" She had no issue with that, but the repair man refused to take the tv off the wall stating that my tiny 5'4"" wife would have to. When she stated she could not, they told her that she would have to call back and set up another appointment when we could have it taken down and waiting for them.\r \r At this point I was very upset, but could understand why they may not do this, although, they will take it from my living room down my steps and across my yard to their truck. So upset, I took the tv down and drove it to their repair shop. I was told the repairs would take 5-7 days. \r \r On the 6th day, I had not heard anything so I called, they stated that they had just looked at it and ordered the parts. They then stated that it would take 5-7 days for the parts to get in and repairs to be made. For the next 2 weeks I called on Friday inquiring on the progress of my TV. Both times I was told that the parts were not in and that it would be 5-7 days. \r \r Finally today, 3.5 weeks later, I called and she stated that the parts had come in late Friday and that the tv would be ready ""hopefully sometime this week."" I said, ""you cannot give me ANY idea when it will be completed?"" A stiff ""NO"" is all I received. I don't care if I have to drive my tvs several hours away for repairs, I will do so in the future if Color and Sound is the authorized repair shop. I'm looking at a 5 week repair turn-around time, if it is even ready when they state that it will be. If my past experience is any indication, it will not be.
