Review content:
I purchased a small birthday cake from the Red Rooster for my husbands birthday. The cake was very good; rich and moist chocolate cake. I ordered the cake over the phone without any problems 6 days before I needed to pick it up. When I arrived to pickup the cake it was not ready, which seemed odd since it was just a simple single layer round cake. I waited for about 30 minutes and purchased a pastry. The owner was there and she was not apologetic at all. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but she wasn't friendly. One of the other staff memebers did apologize for the delay, which was very considerate of her. There isn't much choice for local bakeries and I am all about supporting locally owned businesses, but I do feel that simple customer service is really important. I will give the Red Rooster Bakery another chance since the product is good.
