Review content:
This is a review of the Merry Cabin that is owned by Comfy Cabins LLC. The hot tub did not work. I called Jeanie when I arrived because the tub was not reaching an appropriate temperature. Jeanie informed me that there was nothing Jeanie could do and that I was to call the hot tub repairman. The repairman stated that he had done maintenance earlier in the day of our arrival, November 10, even though the prior guests had left on November 7. He said that it would take at least one full day before the hot tub would reach a warm enough temperature. I called both Jeanie and the hot tub repairman the following day, November 11, as the hot tub had still not reached full temperature. Jeanie said that there we would get a credit of the first night's stay and that the hot tub man would come by with a bottle of wine. However, we never received a bottle of wine and we have not received any communications of a credit. The hot tub did not reach full temperature until November 12, two days after our arrival. Another issue we had was that there was a mouse trap underneath the stairs in the cabin in an area accessible by pets and children. The cabin is advertised as being pet friendly. We had informed Jeanie prior to our arrival that our dog would be joining us and even paid the pet fee. Our dog got into this mouse trap, and ate whatever was on top of it. This was quite frightening for us as this could have been rodent poisoning that would have killed our dog. Moreover, had the mouse trap discharged, it would have injured our dog. This could also injure a child if it is left out again in the same spot. Jeanie of course was rude and did not apologize when I called frightened I would have to rush our dog to the vet. The directions the owners gave did not provide the best route for getting to the cabin and took us 30 minutes out of our way. We also had issues with the maintenance and general lack of cleanliness of the cabin. It was difficult to get inside the cabin because no exterior lights were on and we had issues finding the front keypad. We arrived during winter around 7 p.m. Other cabins we have rented have had exterior lights on to help guests. The front deck was covered with snow and ice, and there was no salt in the shed as advertised. No path has been cleared for us to the front door on arrival, so we could have slipped on the deck. Prior guests left a pile dog feces in the front entry way to the deck and front door. Inside the cabin was dusty, with cobwebs and dead bugs. There were dog hairs on the stairs and some furniture. There was silverware not put away but instead left drying in the dishwasher rack. The dishes and wine glasses that had been put away were dirty and still had food particles on them. The sink was dirty and still had food crumbs in it. The prior guests' used bathroom toiletries had not been removed from the bathroom. The toilet paper roll next to the toilet was unfurled and touching the ground. The grill and accompanying utensils were dirty. The grill had hardened burnt meat drippings covering the inside of it; no attempt had obviously been made to clean the grill. The upstairs bedroom still had garbage wrappings from prior guests inside the nightstands. I cannot believe they charge a cleaning fee. I wonder if they even cleaned the cabin between guests. They are probably not cleaning and just pocketing the cash. I do not recommend Comfy Cabins. The owner I talked with on multiple occasions was extremely rude. The cabin itself was littered with signs with various ""rules."" They have zero sense of customer service at Comfy Cabins.
