Review content:
I have always had a pleasant dining experience at Fanoos. I eat during the workday lunch buffet which serves well-prepared dishes: dolmas, salad, tahini, tender beef, chicken and lamb, saffron rice, white rice, fresh fruit, and more dishes I cannot recall. Hot and tasty fresh bread is brought to the table and the baker can be seen making the bread in the corner of the restaurant. Their hot Persian tea is wonderful and comes with free refills. The choice of music while dining is always enjoyable and lends to the spacious, ethnic atmosphere, and the service is attentive and friendly. One disappointment is, ever since the recession, they have taken some items off their buffet and raised the price $2.50. Baklava, salad dressing, some tasty hot side dish, and a couple other things are gone! Also, if you get there right when it opens during lunch, they can be very slow getting items onto the buffet so you can eat. I have waited 30 minutes for some items to show. Pros: Quality food, bread and tea, atmosphere, music Cons: Raised prices for less food, slow opening for lunch
