Ever heard someone say we have the best BBQ around? I bet you have, especially if you have lived an extended amount of your life in the South. Richard's Bar-B-Que in Salisbury, NC may in fact be able to make this claim. I have been here on numerous occasions because I visit the area often. I especially love it when we go to N.C. State football games because after the game, when all I want to do is eat, we ride back to the town my grandparents live in, and stop at Richard's before heading to their house. I love to order their small chopped tray. It's a plentiful portion of barbecue served with slaw and your choice of a drink (usually sweet tea) and hush puppies, which are to die for! I have other food their such as their delicious burgers but I would definitely stick with the small or large chopped tray even though all their dishes are delicious! The service there is amazing. A waitress never leaves you hanging and always is willing to make conversation or give you an accurate idea of how a particular menu item tastes. The restaurant is very homey and the pictures of the little town and the college banners inside really give you a feel for what the small town is like. Overall a great restaurant to visit!
