Review content:
I bought my house in Round Rock about 3 years ago. Last summer my garage went off its tracks and i decided to call the number to the company who installed it according to the garage door sticker. They were very friendly and came out and fixed the door within 15 minutes but charged me $274 dollars for lifetime rollers, which they said that the original rollers failed. About 4 months later i called them again because my garage door came off its tracks again and i told them that they came out recently and i think it might be from the past repairers mistakes. They lady said that ""if one of our techs made a mistake we will repair it for free. After having two no shows and no answers to the messages, i called another service locally here in Round Rock. When they came out, they noticed that my springs are different sizes, which i never bothered to ask before (being stupid to the world of garage doors!) They showed me where the traction was loose on one side because of the different sized springs which caused the cable to wrap around the top roller on the track when the garage door was in the open position. I then realized that Gordon's Overhead Doors took me for a loop! Their mistake to make a quick buck and when it messed up they didnt fix the original problem, they just charged me for it! and ALOT!! The round rock company only charged me $75 dollars for the visit and placed the door back on track and readjusted the door not to open completely so that the cable would not have a slack cable for potential for the same issues. Since i cant afford to fix the springs i left it at that and it has been working fine for the last 5 months now. I would take Gordons to court if needed, but i cant prove that they installed it because i am not the original owner with installer documents. Dont use them, they will take your money!! but not call you back when they know they are in the wrong!
Pros: Initally friendly customer service
Cons: Cut corners and dont own up to their responsibility
