Chose to visit Carmine's tonight with a friend because I had a craving for some deep dish pizza. Wish I'd just gotten a pan pizza from Pizza Hut instead.
The breadsticks we were served while waiting on our 16"" Sicilian Deep Dish pizza were easily the most bland breadsticks I'd ever been served. The olive oil and spices didn't do much to help. The bread and oil was just plain...blah. I was worried the pizza wouldn't be much better, since it was probably made with the same dough. I was correct. There was just something lacking from their Sicilian Deep Dish. Not enough cheese or sauce or something. That, and the crust was way too hard and overdone to be edible.
I'll give them two stars only because we received a warm greeting, prompt service, and a thank you as we left.
