I stopped in to see about selling a gold necklace and was quickly quoted a price of $180. After she had given me the price, I asked about the weight of the necklace and how much they pay per gram. She told me the weight was 13 grams and that came out to $13.85 per gram. I told her I had heard on the radio quotes for 20-22 per gram and she gave me a line about different measuring systems and that they didn't even get that. When it became clear that I was going to walk she says ""I will give you $200 for it"".
I went to another buyer close by and asked them to weigh and measure it. The necklace weighed almost 16 grams (NOT 13) and I and was offered $19 per gram which totaled $300.
I HATE DISHONEST PEOPLE.
