I once liked charter. Then they overcharged me. I was happy with their service, then they scammed me. It was about four years ago, I had auto payment for my bills, unknown to me their service had an error they didn't tell me about. The autopayments didn't go through and my confirmations said they did. Three months later I had a 300 dollar bill. Presented with the evidence charter stated that it wasn't their fault. So...I paid. Then the internet troubles started. At one point I had NO internet for a month. I had techs here at least three times a week for the entire month, ranging from people who claimed it was my fault to people who claimed it was charters. Finally after a month they fixed it and the tech told me it was a hub that affected about 4 blocks of houses and that they would have never found it if i hadn't hounded them. Now I am having the same problems again. The last tech who came here was so rude and so crass that I don't want to call for help. I plan to go into the charter office and try to speak to the general manager. I don't know if I will get anywhere. Unfortunetly, charter has monopoly of Internet in SLO so things wont ever change.
