Review content:
Because I was so shocked by the negative review I felt inclined to state my experience with Dr. Perryman. Strahberry's review was cryptic and vague. If you make such bold, potentially career-ruining claims why do you not support them with facts or details? It was an irresponsible review. I am a professional that works with children with learning disabilities and one of Heidi Perryman's clients works with me. Despite the fact that I provide remediation for learning issues I find the mental health of these children plays a HUGE role in the effectiveness of treatment. This particular student had a lot of social and emotional issues that were impeding progress. Heidi gratefully scheduled a phone appointment to speak with me about behavioral strategies to help this child. We spoke for close to an hour discussing the child's case and she was frank and honest about the approach that needed to be taken. All of her suggestions were non-confrontational, sensitive and thoughtful--taking very much into account the best interest of the child--yet firm and clear. Her style was frank and I have a deep appreciation for that--if she felt an approach I was using could make the child uncomfortable or was ineffective she told me outright. \r

Within 1 week my sessions with this child made a 180 turn around. Her simple, sensitive and easy-to-implement techniques essentially saved my relationship with a client I was on the verge of recommending seek remediation elsewhere. The child's progress continues to soar and they are, hands-down, one of my favorite kiddos to work with. \r

I highly recommend Heidi's thoughtful and sensitive approach with children.
