Purchased costumes from The Display House again for one of our short films. Was not able to make the short this time around and tried to see what of our purchase could be returned. After asking the retail clerk what could be returned, she tore open my bag (literally) and began pulling items out. She made a pile of what was not returnable and I had questions because some of it was still packaged and untouched (I had no malice in my questioning). After asking she grabbed the sign and began scolding me on what was returnable, I still have no idea as to what warranted her behavior, all I did was ask. After her scolding and telling me that only 2-$.79 cent items were returnable I was stunned. I knew I wasn't going to be able to return everything but I did not know that The Display House employees/sales clerks were allowed to treat customers like that in public. I will definitely tell anyone not to shop with them. I'm a New Yorker who was in town working on a film and I know bad customer service, I just didn't expect such a horrible experience in Spokane.
