Review content:
I was extremely disappointed and upset with the attitude of the ""manager"" at the Mermaid Lanes. My family drove from Minneapolis to bowl and have some lunch. I was made to feel like an inconvenience. The tone and body language of the person serving us was argumentative and down right rude.\r When my family and I came in we asked if we can get food at the bowling lanes and was told ""absolutely"". We paid for three games each and shoes and took our lane. We turned on the light for service and it was not till we had been there for 10 minutes that we were told that we needed to go to the bar and order. There were no other customers in the bowling area. There were however 3 workers. One was blowing up balloons for a birthday party, one other not sure what they were doing and the ""manager"" a heavier set man in his late 40's or 50's barking at anyone that was there including my husband. Telling us that we were told we have to order from the bar after we had our bowling shoes on and were already bowling. There were other workers that were sitting down at a table when we walked in the door chatting. \r It seems to me that with gas prices so high and people trying to find some kind of cheap entertainment around town the Mermaid Lanes would do a better job at their customer service and remember without us there would be no need for their establishment at all. It would have taken one person 2 minutes to take our order but the Mermaid has shown me that it is not the place to go for family fun and I know that me and my family will never go there again. \r I have shared this story with as many people as I can and will continue do so. That day we got our money back and went to Elsie's over Northeast Minneapolis off of Marshall. Received excellent customer service and felt like we were welcome anytime. If I were to recommend a bowling alley it would be Elsie?s.\r
