Review content:
Just when you think you know a person they show their true colors. I purchased a six pack of Bluemoon beer today 7/12/2011 at approximatley 3:04 om at chantry's on 7828 Limonite Ave, Riverside, CAS 92509. Contact number (951) 681-4423. I made an attempt to return the beer shortly after the purchase later today when I saw that the beer was close to its experation date and skunky in taste ans smell. I have been a customer of Chantry's for quite some time and have lived in the area since 1992. I have greeted the retailers by saying hello with a smile and have received the same in return. I was greatly disappointed in the brief encounter with the slightly older guy with the dot on his forehead when I made an attempt to return the beer. I first talked to the younger gentlemen who then took the beer to the slightly older guy who then proceeded to explain to me that I would have to file a complaint with the manufacturer to receive a credit for the beer. When he used the word compaint and credit I thought to myself I do not have a complaint and have already said that I would like to exchange, not seek a refund, for the expired beer. Clearly no one cared to really listen to what I had to say nor care why I returned. Apparentley all I am good for is my money to fund the continued operation of the business and their livelihood. I responded with a simple. ""so you do not take take returns?"" because he had not stated whether or not an exchange would be issued. Was that a mistake, the guy proceeded to get defesive and hostile raising his voice at me and repeating what he had said to me earlier. I had to cut him off by saying ""ok! ok!, I did not know!"" just to get him to shut up and stop being hostile to me. I am glad there were other customers to witness and see his behavior towards me. I was dissapointed in his behavior and the establishment and the encounter left a bad taste in my mouth and an upset stomach. I am a gentlemen and a peaceful person and do not like conflict of any sort at all and the experience I had today has determined my unwillingness to give Chantry's my business indefinatley. I have also contacted the U.S. consumer product Safety Commission to see if my rights as a consumer were violated and to seek help in resolving the issue of businesses selling expired goods to the publiuc and I will contact Bluemoon about this issue as well.
