Review content:
I was in a wedding party where the reception was held at the Bank St. Annex in October. The place is absolutely beautiful inside and out hower the set-up and organization are another thing.
When the bridal party arrived at the restaurant, guests were arriving as well and they were allowed into the great room where we were having pictures taken. It was very frustrating to stop a pic because Aunt "Bess" or Uncle "Joe" wanted to saw hi and congratulations. Pictures took way longer than expected. To top it off, the seperate room they had for the bridal party for cocktails was on the 3rd floor!!! I thought it was suppose to be the bride's day...why does she get stuffed into a little room very hard to get to.
Because of the set up of the restaurant, there are too many rooms for people to wander in and out of and each room is very small. In addition, the bridal party was seated way up high on a balcony away from the guests and unable to sit the rest of the night at their table.
If you are a very organized person, this place will seem like utter chaos. I would recommend the Bank St. Annex for smaller parties, however a wedding of 200 was not best suited for this place.
