Review content:
I recently purchased a Lexmark printer, model x264. Of course it came with a half filled starter cartridge, which ran out quickly. I went to Cartridge World (been there before) and was quoted $79.00 for a refilled cartridge. I bought/ordered 2 (leaving my 1 core with them). About two hours later I got a call saying that they mispriced the cartridges and they would actually be $150 ea. And, they could only refill the one I had as they did not have any others. I thought this was a very high price so I asked what a new cartridge would cost and I was told $252.00. This seemed crazy since I only paid $195 for the printer (original price $400, but it was on sale at Staples with an extra $50 for trading in an old printer). Come to find out they lied to me multiple times. First, the price of a new cartridge for the printer in question at Staples is $129 (not $252). Second, you can get these refilled cartridges at tonerstore.c0m for $59 (even less if you send back your empty core). So basically they wanted $150.00 to put a couple bucks worth of toner in my cartridge. I'll never go back, and I hope no one else ever does either.
