All I can say is, ""WoW!"". Living in the city (nyc) there are a VAST number of optical stores. It's impossible enough to find one within the city limits that is reasonably priced but... to find that AND one that actually cares is like buying white truffles at Kmart... lol So in my quest to get the best bang for my buck I ran across the Wize Eyes website. Being adventurous we decided to take a drive to this town (Hyde Park)... and SO GLAD we did!! So convenient to Manhattan- it took under 25 minutes to get there and parking is on-site.
I called prior to arrival and my same-day appointment request was accommodated with only a few hours notice!!
We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner upon entering by the staff. I saw the doctor in a matter of minutes. He was genuine, knowledgeable and professional. He does everything he can to accommodate any of your special requests- so if you want a specific contact lens, just let him know. He cares about his patients but he is not the ""chatty type"" ;).
There are some bargains to be had. Prices for extras on glasses (anti-glare, thin lenses, etc.) were very reasonable! In fact I thought the frame prices were well priced as well. You will not go broke here- find what you need for a good price. The staff is NOT pushy and will give you freedom to be alone to peruse the selection should you desire space. However, I found one employee a gem (and you know who you are!;)... she was exceptional at determining what frames suit your face... and I am quite choosy so if she can satisfy me- your optical needs will be fulfilled here as well.
They also STOCK most popular contacts so you can probably leave with them unlike many other places. That is a huge plus to me as I want them now. I also purchased glasses and they made them and fitted them in less than a hour!!
We can't recommend this place enough!! HURRY, What are you waiting for?!? Go get that pair of glasses you've been putting off. They care, are professional, have a selection, are knowledgeable and are well priced to boot! THANK YOU, you guys are great!!
