My friend and I decided this would be a fun way to spend a Saturday and cool off from the scorching weather. I called and reserved two tubes and the amount was charged to my card. We were told to be on site between 12:45-1:30pm. We arrived at 1:00pm and stood in the line to register. This process was just chaotic. No order at all and people were jumping in line. When we finally made it to the counter, we gave them our keys (yes, you have to leave them ... hopefully nothing ever happens to hold them responsible for vehicle theft or damage) and was told to go out to the picnic table and wait for our names to be called to load up. Around 2:30pm, we were still sitting at the table and needless to say beyond aggravated since I was told we would be on the river no later than 2pm. When I went inside to ask what was going on, I was told they would get us on the river as soon as they could. About 3:10pm our names were called, along with another group of four. We loaded up in the van, but I noticed only four tubes in the trailer. We were taken to the drop off point and as my friend and I got out, the guy driving the bus unloaded the tubes and came around to shut the door. We were standing there with no tubes. After he realized what was going on, he tried to call back to the shop and get us tubes, but of course there was no reception on his phone. He said he would go back and have someone bring us tubes. By this point, we had already determined we just didn't have anymore time to waste with this outfit, and was regretting we spent two hours of our Saturday driving up there and will spend another two hours going back home. We just told the driver to return us to the shop. On the drive back, we found out from the driver that they had a large group go up before us, and they too had to wait along the river bank because not enough tubes were put on the bus to accomondate the number of people on the bus. When we returned, he went in and told them to refund our money... they apologized for the inconvience and said they could get us on the river now if we wanted to go out!?!!!?? What the &*%#!! I told them to just refund our money. They gave me my refund slip to sign and then noticed that I wasn't the cardholder. Yes, they refunded my money to another persons card. They did re-run my card and I did get my refund, but really??? Get a computer system for crying out loud.
