Review content:
Went to Dr. Mootha with localized pain. He immediately went to the ole' DRE and stated that my prostate was enlarged. As he walked out the office he looked back and casually stated '50% of time, that means cancer'. The rest of the visit was conducted by a nurse. Return visit showed PSA very low. He went ahead with an uncomfortable and expensive prostate biopsy. Of course, no issues/cancer. He appeared to not have any ideas as to what was causing my pain, and at the end of the day did not conduct appropriate inquiry, which would have included a sonagram of area where pain is located. Thus, a second opinion... wherein I learned my prostate was not enlarged at all. In my opinion, if you don't want to waste critical time, spend excessive amounts of money conducting unnecessary procedures and get scared out of your wits, choose another doctor.
