Review content:
4/25/12 was my first day at Women Workout World. My bathroom stall had no toilet paper and the backup was out in the morning on a weekday when there were maybe 15 customers in the building. All the stalls had no soap and I went shower-hopping soaking wet and uncomfortable with my belongings in hand. I had to call in management from my cell phone into the bathroom. Then the water went cold after the soap refill and they said they are calling the plumber.
When I complained to Sharon (the manager working on a Sunday 4/29/12), she became very defensive and was rude. Her apology didn't seem sincere as she was talking back to me in an ""I could care less tone"". She made me feel intimated and trapped with poor customer service and touting a three-day cancellation policy of no refunds. I am seven months pregnant and ice cold showers, no soap, and toilet paper isn't hygienic or healthy for my baby and me. What a terribly unpleasant experience. I was reeled in by the marketing of joining a Woman's facility where I may feel more comfortable getting exercise in a clean, comfortable, and safe environment.
Buyer beware they don't tell customer's you have three days to cancel or your credit card will continue to be charged for a one year commitment unless you pay an exorbitant buyout fee of $100.00. Sharon is an unprofessional manager who encouraged me to quit with her attitude and making excuses instead of taking responsibility for the following:
1. Broken breakers and cold water on 4/25/12 and again on 4/29/12 supposedly after the plumber fixed the breaker.
2. No soap in any of the stalls and a broken and missing soap dispenser in 1 of the stalls.
3. No toilet paper in the second stall or back up refilled
4. Broken fixtures on the stair master
Sharon demonstrated very poor communication skills and a lack of diplomacy skills needed for a management role. I can't imagine they get and keep member retention, which is probably why Women Workout World is practically vacant with very few members.
I asked whom she reported to as she seemed not to take my complaints seriously and as if they were of little importance. She gave me a generic email address for the owner. How do I know Sharon isn't filtering the emails so I can't report her and file a formal complaint?
