Review content:
Planned an incredible weekend surprise for my wife's birthday in January of 2011. Booked ""A Place to Remember"" through Aardvark. The place was beautiful!!! When we arrived we realized that the heat was not working. After multiple trips from the local HVAC service we were back up and running with a new fan motor on day 2 of our stay. Unfortunately, my wife and I had to spend the first night in a cabin that was less than 50 degrees inside. Aardvark immediately defaulted to the verbiage of our contract and after much spirited discussion insisted they would make NO offer whatsoever to credit the night?s stay and/or extend any other credit for the gross inconvenience. I was astonished at the staunch position they took and the absolute refusal to extend industry courtesy in the way of ?credit? for our troubles. My takeaway is as follows, Aardvark is all about Aardvark. If you have to sleep clothed in their cabin with no heat when the temperatures outside are in the teens, that's your problem and you will pay premium rates for the experience. Other than that, very beautiful place. Customer Service rating... Too low to score. Needless to say, this experience put a HUGE damper on our celebratory weekend!
