We purchased a table suite from Seiferts and it was delivered with a large scratch on the tabletop and several deep gouges in one of the leaves. The delivery boy from Seifert's told my mother in law that they had opened everything up at the store to make sure it was in perfect condition since the table was then going to be transported to State College, PA. Once they delivered the table to my mother in law's, the furniture boxes were carefully loaded into a truck and tied down so the boxes could not shift around on the drive to State College. Once we opened the boxes for assembly in State college, we found a large scratch in the main panel of the table and several deep gouges in one of the leaves. What had happened was that the delivery boys cut the ropes in the boxes that kept the leaves in place and so the leaves/ metal hardware moved around in the boxes when shipped and scratched up everything.
Pros: I can not think of one positive aspect of my experience with Seifert's.
Cons: The owner has the personality fit for non human encounters only. I'm surprised his personality has allowed his business to stay afloat this long.
