Review content:
I am a long time sufferer of PTSD and other disorders due to working in the WTC on 9/11 and after 9 years have finally reached a point in my therapy where I wanted to find a doctor who could help me move on. I heard a lot of good things about this office and was really looking forward to talking to this doctor. When I called their office, I was subjected to a barrage of questions about my medical history and recent tests that I have had done. Normally you do this on your first appointment, but I figured why not, and told them my history. I was told I could not get an appointment at this moment and they would call me back after reviewing the schedule. I received a call on the next day stating that because I had my tests done previously elsewhere, that they were not interested. The doctor ""prefers the tests are done in his office"". I pleaded with them stating that I am a 9/11 survivor who has suffered for a long time and needed to talk to someone. They replied again that they were not interested.
What kind of doctor does this? I'll answer my own question. One who is only in it for the money and realized that since I had recent tests done he couldn't milk me for MRIs and other tests himself. In today's times, you would think that doctors that specialize in PTSD are available for the patients who really need the help, but it seems awfully clear to me that this office is rude and only in it to make the most $ they can off their patients insurance. I didn't think it would be possible to make me feel this disgusted but they raised the bar.
