I've been going to Charlie's since I was a little girl. It's not meant to impress by being a large, fancy restaurant and for those of you who don't get that, maybe you are better off going to some chain restaurant instead. Charlie's has been successful for so long due to the fresh ingredients and fast service. The burgers aren't the biggest but they are tasty!!! You can't go wrong with a black and white shake and a Charlie's Special. I love how they still use the same plastic cups from long ago, too. Nothing's been updated and every time I go there, it brings me back to my childhood. You'd be a fool not to try this place. And if you can't appreciate the food rather than the atmosphere, then you can't call yourself and foodie and shouldn't be criticizing any restaurant on this site until you understand what makes good food just that.
