First of all, I read in a recent post not to buy cheap dogs from breeders as they might be puppy mills. Three years ago I bought two boston terriers from wags and wiggles (Renee) costing me $2200.00. They appeared in good health except for typical breed problems (luxating patella) and a case of giardia. I am shocked to find out that she is involved in this ring of puppy mills. We called her after the news broke and she swore she didnt know the other people involved now to find out they are her family, not mention that her own mother had that many dogs! We were also told that the father of our male was not on site and now I believe that I am sure he was up in Mt Vernon. It breaks my heart to see these dogs alone and scared in the shelter. We have donated and I encourage all of you who can to do so many of these dogs are in need of immediate vet attention. We are also doing everything we can to adopt our males brother once he is avaialable, not that we think having three dogs is easy but at least we know he will be loved very much and its the least we can do. I keep hoping that she didnt have anything to do with this because it is so horrible but all the evidence so far points right at her. I honestly am just shocked. Pros: are there really any? Cons: those poor dogs
