Review content:
My wife and I have eaten in this building 3 times in the last 2 years. The first time we went it was the Cosmopolitan and we absolutely loved the food and service. We have always loved what the chef and owner of Bloomsbury did in Raleigh but were blown away by the food in his cary restaurant. We hurried back for a second vist to find the new bistro 64. We were excited to check out the new place but were dissapointed that the Cosmopolitan was gone. We had a really great meal but noticed that the menu seemed exactly the same as before. I can't say the food was executed as well as it was on our first visit though. We were told that the assistant chef had stayed on board in the new place. The last time, a few nights ago, we went back and were very dissapopinted with our meal. The current menu style there now is a little boring. All the meat and fish dishes come with the same starch and vegetables, kind of like what you expect at a high end chain place. On top of that it just wasn't done right. my steak was overdone and had a bland sauce. My wife's chicken dish was uneventful but tasted O.K. The owner was there and was very nice and checked on our table. We are not the complaining type and didn't care to let him know we were not happy. We used to think nothing of driving to Cary from North Raleigh on occassion but won't be in a hurry to make the trip to this place again.
Pros: service was great
Cons: food was boring
