We are paying top rent for our area for a house that was misrepresented to us as being completely renovated and in good condition. We received personal promises from the property manager that any problems would be quickly handled by them before we signed. The reality is our plumbing, toilets, sprinkler systems, garage door opener, air conditioner and many other things did not work or were broken and had been cosmetically covered up when we moved in. After living here for 3 1/2 months they have not all been fixed. I am sitting here now in a very hot house almost 2 months after informing them that the air conditioner was not functioning. Rather then replacing some easy to find part they will claim they only need some obscure impossible to find piece of it. One of their favorite ploys is claiming items which are readily available at the local hardware store are on order week after week after week. It is very difficult to talk to a real person, it is almost always an automatic voice mail system, they do not return your calls, or when they do return them it may be more then a week later. When you do get through to them they might just put you on hold until you give up (20 minutes on hold my last call) and then when you call back they have switched on the automatic voice mail. Update: My AC was fixed today and they have had a change in staff, maybe things are looking up.
