In downtown historic Alvin there is this beautiful little place called The Barbed Rose. The drive may seem a little out of the way but let me tell you it is well worth it. I took my three daughter's there for a very special dinner. We were blown away. We started off with the Divers Scallops. They were the best scallops I have ever had. You cannot leave this place without trying Joe's Gumbo. The flavors explode with every bite. The food is so fresh and there is something for everyone on the menu. The Chef will take your pallet on an amazing journey. I will be back again and again. The Barbed Rose is my new favorite place.
