Review content:
What an amazing dinner! We had the fried bacon and jalapeno oysters, filet and fries, BBQ shrimp and grits (blue maize grits from Waco), truffled mac and cheese, mushrooms and wine. EVERYTHING we ate was well beyond our expectations. We HAD to meet the chef - we have NEVER had mushrooms so tasty and these mushrooms were not swimming in a pool of guilt. The fliet was cooked to perfection - we ordered medium-rare and that is exactly what we got, and, wow was it tasty!!! The wine is reasonably priced, the service was good, the atmosphere is warm and inviting with natural wood beadboard ceilings, a full bar, unique original artwork on the walls and there is even a more relaxed atmosphere outside called the Burger Bar. Whodathunk that the place where I have taken some of the worst photos in my life (It is the old DMV building) would turn into my new favorite restaruant. It doesn't even look like the same building! Impressive! We will be back again and again! Oh, and AGAIN!!!
