Review content:
I've enjoyed Bangkok Cafe for a few years now. Not impressed at all with Orchid, I do like Thai House (on Buena Vista). And Thai Tip has great food, but not much for atmosphere.
I was disappointed when Bangkok Cafe closed for remodeling. But I just went again today. The prices were just a little bit higher than I remember. But I was not at all disappointed once the food showed up.
A friend and I ordered the Nam Sod salad (med heat) and Spicy Fried Rice w/pork.
We both commented that it's hard to understand how people could choose to go to expensive fancy restaurants when there are spectacular flavors like these to be had for still less than $10 per person. It just doesn't make sense.
Every bite was a new joy. Not even finished with one mouthful and already looking forward to the next bite.

The Thom Kha and Pad Thai are also super winners.

Thai food rocks. And Bangkok Cafe rocks Thai food!

Pros: Food is delicious - new interior is nice
Cons: A little more expensive than it was before the remodel
