Unfortunately, my husband and I used to love Red, but that love is starting to decline. We really enjoy their happy hour, but prices have continues to increase on the menu, and two of our favorite items have been removed. Delicious edamame hummus was taken off the restaurant menu all together (we were told they wanted more ""board-walk friendly"" food, hence it was replaced with a fried calamari), and the dynamite roll (which is amazing) was taken off the happy hour menu. We asked the restaurant why it was taken off, and they explained it was too expensive for happy hour (yet the other specialty rolls on the happy hour menu cost almost $4 more than the dynamite roll on the regular menu- which makes no sense to me!). Regardless, the food is good, but not great, and is a tad overpriced. The service is consistently slow, even if the restaurant is almost entirely empty. It's a nice happy hour stop if you are at the boardwalk, but if you want really good sushi I prefer/recommend Tokyo Bowl (off Bay Area- best sushi I have had in the area, SUPER fresh fish), Sushi Coast (Bay Area near I-45, lots of creative rolls), or Ichibon (next to boardwalk, also has a good happy hour). If you do choose Red I recommend the fried rice, dynamite roll, and crunch specialty roll. Pros: Happy hour, view, menu variety Cons: Slow service, overpriced
