Review content:
Not impressed AT ALL. I have sold hundreds of items on ebay and craigslist and maintained 100% due to my high quality standards. I've also dealt with high-end consignment stores in Denver and outside of DC. I'm very picky about what I sell.
I decided to try this route today and took in Tommy Hilfiger, The Limited, GAP and Ralph Lauren. All size Md/8s, some with tags still on. They didn't accept ANYTHING after an almost 45 minute wait time. During that long wait time, I walked around and was not impressed with their cramped, unorganized inventory. Everything is RUE, Forever 21 and Merino (Target's brand). The shoes showed a lot of wear and seemed dated. Their ""trendy"" spiel didn't reflect in the store's mdse. The atmosphere is dark, cramped and smelly. A teenage-like girl inspected my clothes and then the unfriendly, curt owner/manager poo-pooed the two items that the girl had initially selected, saying that my things did not fit their ""trendy"" atmosphere. (I'm taking that as a compliment!)
It was a completely different experience when I took my children's items to the Once Upon a Child store next to Plato's. Same concept, but brighter, more cheerful atmosphere and the people were much more pleasant to work with.
