Just beware. I went to Steve's today. I read all the reviews and was really impressed. They were cordial and nice. Well, I already knew what was wrong with the car, and let them know (I went to Auto Zone and had the error code). Anyway, they told me they would take care of it, I really am about supporting small businesses. I got a call at noon today and almost fell out of my chair. They wanted almost $1000 to fix a $30 problem. I just did not have the time to fix the issue. It was a simple part (an ignition coil and spark plug). I declined the work, and then they hit me with a $150 service charge. Yes... A $150 service charge (shop fees, disposal fees, etc. unreal). Remember, I gave them the error code and they just confirmed it. I really was disappointed. I just moved here and really wanted to find a reasonable local mechanic I could trust. These guys are on another planet. It is almost criminal to charge some on $1000 for a $30 part and something that takes 10 minutes to fix. Well, I fixed the problem tonight. It took 5 minutes. No kidding... 5 minutes. My only recommendation is to get everything in writing prior to them TOUCHING your car. I would never have authorized them to conduct a test, which I got for free at AutoZone, that costs over $150.
