Review content:
If you're thinking about buying a used vehicle from Joseph or Christian Salinardi, think again, because you'll be headed for a world of hurt. My daughter's first car buying experience turned from joy to nightmare as Riverside Motors systematically misled, stalled and outright lied to us (I was a co-signer on the purchase and loan). It was only through nearly three weeks of DMV complaints, calls to the Connecticut Attorney General's office, and ultimately the threat of being further exposed for as the crooks they are, that the Salinardi's finally agreed to refund the purchase price of a used car that LITERALLY broke down a few miles down the road after we signed all the paperwork finalizing the deal. What first appeared to be a good faith effort on their part to fix it, was actually part of a pattern we discovered too late by ""googling"" them only to discover they had a history of successfully ripping off unsuspecting customers in part by stalling their victims with an endless series of phony stories. I'm usually pretty good at spotting a BS artist, but Joe Salinardi is VERY good at looking you straight in the eye while he fabricates a story about how he's taking care of you. I can't say the same for his son Christian, because in hindsight, I can't recall a single time when he actually looked me in the eye.
If you are in the unfortunate position of having already begun doing business with them and are having trouble, the first thing you should do is complete the Connecticut DMV K-35 Dealer Complaint Form, fax it with attached page(s) detailing your issues with them and let the Salinardi's know you're in the process of faxing it to the DMV.
When they stop returning your phone calls (and they will) the only way to get a message through to them may be to use the web form on the website.
