Review content:
Authentic and Classic are two words that jump in my head when I remember my meal at Angelina. The food was wonderful. Simple, delicate starters were balanced and delightful while the complex entrees were full of flavor and really rocked my palate. The room is transporting, although, the picture of the Rubenesque woman above the bar definitely has romantic couples skipping dessert and scurrying for a cab. Francophiles expecting to see left over Blue Angel wines better head the Mr. Starrs house as the wine list features only selections of classic Italians and traditional Californians. There are plenty of great wines to choose from although the By the Glass list seemed a little over simplified. A great spot for a date or a family gathering, but keep in mind...this is not your corner, plaid table cloth, spaghetti and meatballs kind of place.
Pros: Food, Scene, Not Cheap
Cons: Parking, Mona Lisa's Face, Not Cheap
